Miss Lynn - you are being heckled as an indirect result of a bumper sticker that was placed on Darby's truck. (See Mudhen's post on 7/28)
We would all appreciate your presence next year, and your (by then) husband, also.

(Sorry - I can't resist - you've become the butt of the joke smile )

Actually, I'm proud (if confounded) to have been "ogled" by such a fine lady.

Somehow I don't quite get your problem with me ogling Mark, and I don't quite get the "well maybe" part of me going anywhere near Quemado next year, but I will take that as a stay the hell away message from you to me.

Have a good one.

You have obviously read something into this that isn't there. Come have fun.

Got home an Hour Ago... guess I was the last campfire member to arrive back home...it sucked being back... as there are some BAD forest fires burning evidently... smoke so thick you couldn't see clearly past a couple hundred yards...

after Quemado, took the Wife to South Rim Grand Canyon, then Sedona the next day and then up to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon the following day....she had never been there..

had dinner in the Lodge at the North Rim, which was great...

Learn I need a new radio in the Pilot...got pretty boring with no music thru much of Utah and Nevada with no radio... plus the road from Winnemuca to Lakeview....

didn't take many pics this year at Quemado... but it sure was good to see some old friends again....The wife really enjoyed it all very much...

have put 20,000 mile on the the Pilot since last December..
2500 for Roosevelt Lake in Feb, 5000 for the trip to Ed's Place, and 4,000 for this trip to include the other spots for the wife coming home...

so that is 11,000 miles of the 20K for Campfire Events...
Lotta fun and worth every bit of it...

Side NOTE, Miles: glad to hear you got home alright... thanks for Randy and Allen for the escorting you, which is a big comfort to the rest of your campfire friends...

condolences on the loss of your Mother in Law tho....

Thanks to all the hosts and hostesses who made it all possible...

and thanks to Brian for teaching the wife to shoot some of his pistols...bought her a pound of Bullseye on the way home, so will be loading the 38 for her tomorrow after I pick up some bullets...

Thanks Guys! It was wonderful as always...

Being heckled is certainly one thing, sitting in judgement is another. CCCC has his own life moments to look after and carry.

As for my ogle, it stands. Thank you my dear friend for everything, and thank Joy for me for being so understanding, and getting a kick out of it too smile

May you both be blessed for many years to come smile

But I do know him Miles, through my own heart, and my own mind, he has never had a decent thing to say to me over a very long period of time. This is not the first, nor will it be the last for him I am sure, but it is for me.

The Good Lord says I have to love him as my brother, but He does not say I have to like him, respect him, or make him a part of my life.

OK, I promise to edit my photos more carefully next year. blush

Moving on to a less fulsome topic, Jon Graham left me a message yesterday. He is missing a green Cabelas range bag from the Quemado trip. He thought that my daughter had one like it and may have picked it up by mistake. However, hers is camo, not green, and she is pretty sure that she did not pick his up. She said that she remembers seeing Jon's when they picked up her stuff from under the tarp, and that it was laying on my shooting bench. It was not there when I retrieved my shooting bench late Sunday morning.

I know that the two Jeffs and a couple of others picked up leftover gear for safekeeping. I was wondering if by chance any of you good samaritans picked up Jon's green Cabelas range bag.

Miss Lynn - I wish you would come out next year, meet the hooligans and ruffians, and enjoy (I'm positive you would)
Might even entice Greg to come join us!

Although I consider myself blessed - many would consider Joy cursed!
I believe she has days when she wonders, also.

My wife is that way now.

Bounced an idea off of her and she just rolled her eyes and shook her head.
