I just started the planning stage of a 450 upper. I just received my aero precision receiver. I need a good barrel. Who makes one? Looking for a 18" to 20" barrel. I know it's gonna be expensive but I have plenty of time to save up.
I'm in a no rifle zone here in MI for whitetail, but with currently new laws for pistol length cartridges, the 450 is perfect.

why not a 458 socom? then tou won't have to mess with pistol bullets or swageing 458 rifle bullets.
I have 2 458 socoms and love them. of course I also have 4 45-70's so the bullet deal makes sense to me.

sorry for not addressing your question. Blackhole makes killer barrels.

Reason not the socom is MI law states it has to be straight walled. It sucks but it is what it is. I'll check out blackhole. Thanks.

some laws are just dumb. can't use a 30-30 but can use a 45-70, 444,454 casual. dumb
