Picked up a new Hardy suppressor the other day for a RAR in .22 magnum. This suppressor is a pretty impressive piece of engineering. Rather than the traditional system of baffles and springs, the Hardy suppressor is built using their monocore technology. You can see from the photos that the guts of the thing is a single CNC machined aluminium unit. A non scientific test (fired a few rounds through a baffle suppressor, then a few through the Hardy unit) showed that the Hardy unit did the best job in terms of noise reduction. You can also see from the photos that the rabbits never stood a chance. Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with Hardy Rifle Engineering, but I support them because they are a New Zealand company. hardyrifleengineering.co.nz

How much are they?
When I was in NZ this year, I should have bought some.

Almost all of the current suppressors here are mono-core. I have both aluminum and titanium models that are made with mono-cores. Much easier to clean, etc.

I met a French guy the other day. I asked him "Do you speak German?" He said "No." I said "You're welcome!"

This looks very similar to my Silencerco Sparrow suppressor. I really like the Sparrow design because it usees two inner "halves" which slide between the mono-core and the outer can, thus eliminating the possibility of welding the two parts together after extensive shooting.
