Owl pics? Short-eared owl from SE Oregon. Not spectacular but given about 50 yards with a hand-held compact superzoom I'm happy with the results. Panasonic Lumix fz200.

Here's a couple scans from 2002, Great Horned Owl fledglings SE end of the Trout Creeks, SE Oregon. Nest was up on a cliff face about 30 yards away. Canon EOS ElanIIE.

Be interesting to see those orbs at night when the pupils are open. Here's one that was put up a couple weeks ago. Young burrowing owl.
