1959, standard gun, 28 inch mod, un-cut, really good blue, like 95% + good. What do you guys hit that one at?

95% Original: Plain barrel, field model.

Dealer: I would shoot for $500 and stop at $700.

Individual: I would stop at $500-$600.

Don't have to tell you, but compared to most of the stuff out there today-$1500 plus for Beretta gas guns for example-it would be a bargain even if you dug a little deeper.

What you got is a really great pump shotgun. I haven't seen one close to that condition for some time. Post some pics when you get the time.

Have fun with it!!!!

The Model 12's don't bring what they used to, but a 90 % or better should bring 500 easy. I like the Model 12 especially in 16 GA and 20 GA. My favorite of the Winchester pumps is the Mod 97.

5 to 600 is good. subtract for any flaws. ensure serial numbers match.

Unless it was a 28 doesn't make all that much difference. Passport knows his stuff well enough to snatch up any 28 for 5 to 6.

Perhaps a little more for a 20 and a little less around here for a 16. 12's with the exception of a nice trap gun, still the same.

Dang good choice for the mature flyers that are being pushed by a tailwind.
I also find 6's to be a good choice at that time.

We often get some late Birds passing thru and they have speed early Birds haven't found yet.

Mr Batte, My Dad was an avid, shot every day of season but Sunday hunter, Ive seen him drop high birds and folks would say I be damned! I would ask him Dad how far did you lead him, he would say "as long as a whores dream!" Then he would say about "3 gun lengths son!!" He shot a 28 mod and 7.5 high brass 16 ga. We used to get Super X then he got a deal on Federals... good times, this new farming has em rolling the peanut hay and moving it out of the field, harrowing it right up and into a rye, wheat cover crop, dove shooting is nothing like it used to be here!!! I beat him one time in my entire life! 16 birds in 17 shots.... never again, and he told me as much! He did pay me a small compliment, he said" damn Bud you were ON today!" v best winpoor

Im sitting here thinking of those old times! My Dad bought a big ole safe just to lock his shells up in to keep me out of them! But he would give em to me anyway, he said there was a difference in him handing them to me and me getting into em like a coon! Smoked Lucky Strikes and they killed him at 80! I know he killed his last deer at 79. Some way, some how he was able to be my Daddy AND best friend ........v best winpoor

Had the good fortune to be invited to shoot Doves down around Thomasville on a place that gave them a reason to be there and there was a pile of them.

We would run 3 old hogs and the game wardens or as my Dad called em possum cops could not do a thing but burn your azz for over the limit! I had a Chesapeake that would not loose a bird, my first female dog and Dam that bitch was mean as any bulldog thought about being! v best winbroke

They also had Black Squirrels, and I mean beeeg Black Squirrels. Along with some huge black snake that made you think twice about getting close. Rattlers were not uncommon nor Cottonmouths. Then there were the Gators. One beeeg 9footer they said whose time had come.

Addition: Since I was an invited guest I quit at the limit. We had a friendly talk about that. wink

Some friends have gone down. Said it is well worth the time and money for a fellow who loves shotgun shooting. Couple have shot way over a 1000/day. That seems like it would be work. I'm sure I would cut it back and just enjoy the shooting.

Always thought that may be an excellent Campfire group event for the shotgun crew.

Passport your not far from me. I used to shoot registered skeet at club in Rockford. Looking forward to the pics of your M12, sounds like a nice gun. I had a 28ga skeet and let it go. One of those bad decisions we make I life.
