Was in my local North 40 (zip code 99114) this aft. There are about 50 bags (100 ct) of new WW Swift brass for $57 MOL out the door. It's too bad I have about 800 already!-Muddy

Boat, When I got my pre-production 77V (now on its 3rd bbl.) in 1973-4 Norma was all that was available, still use some of it. I was only passing this on as this is a fairly good deal on new cases that haven't been seen for a while. It would appear that my OP is only stating fact and not trying to rub your rudder to starboard.- Muddy

Muddy22: Thanks for the heads up on the 220 Swift brass. I shoot 7 of them and 6 of them use Winchester brass - the other shoots the hard to find Norma. I personally have never had any issues with the Winchester brass. I am having trouble though, trying to search out what town 99114 Zip Code is in. Thanks again for the heads up. Factory brass (from Remington, Winchester and Federal) in many of the Varmint calibers is getting HARD to find on store shelves these days. My local gun/pawn shop got in 5 bags of 243 Winchester brass last week and it sold so quickly I could not even make a posting about it before it was gone. Maybe I will search "North 40"? 57 cents per for junk. The last WW brass I bought was for a 22.250 and 223 both were terrible so now I don't even look at WW brass. JMO
V.G It took a grand total 1 search query, and a few clicks of the mouse to find 4 different supply houses with the VERY HARD to find Norma brass in stock for the Swift. All about a buck per.

Also my local pawn/gunshop put out two more bags of the 243 Winchester brass (Winchester - $28.50 per 50!) so if anyone needs some of that their phone number is 406-683-9844. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Interesting.. Have been shooting WW brass in my Swift for about 15 years.. No problems, only a split neck once in a while from too many trips though the neck sizer..
The absolute worst brass I ever had was Norma.. It was .222, soft, cracked after a couple firings, I finally though the rest down a prairie dog hole.. Guess they may be doing better now..

I seem to remember that Winchester brass isn't made by Winchester/Olin anymore. I remember a thread where it is now produced by Hornady. This is the stuff in the Red/Black bags not the older Blue & White bags. However, I could be having another senior moment... I never had a problem with the old stuff.

I am using WW 220 brass, which is highly prepped, and it shoots great. When it finally wears out, I'll go back to Norma. I've stocked up.

Here is a box of new Norma unprimed Swift brass if any one is interested PM me. It has been here along time even when I had my Swift I just left it unused because of hardly ever seeing a box of it. I used Remington and Winchester but the Remington I thought was better lasting than the Win.
