So...I got my latest project back from the "gunsmith" and was preparing to install the sight insert into the barrel band front base, and I noticed someone had taken a pair of pliers to the damned thing and squeezed the two ears together. Of course, I noticed this is after Dura-Kote and payment. Nice

Question: How do I fix this? No, it isn't going back to the guy who installed it. Shall I make a male dovetail tool and swage it open? Perhaps there is a tool out there that is ready made for this job?
