Would like to hear from anyone shooting a .177" RWS 34. What pellet are you getting the best accuracy from ??

Trying to dial mine in this evening and using (yeah...... I know....) Daisy "premium" pointed "precision" pellets. Getting on to the paper at 10 yards, they would print 1?4"-1/2" apart. Move back to 30-35 yards and I could barely hit the barn behind my target. They were ALL over the place. There was maybe a 1-2 mph breeze, so not a factor.

Any suggestions as to which hunk of lead to try next ??

I start with easily accessible pellets (Walmart, Academy, Bass Pro) so that is usually Crosman or the Benjamin/Crosman and RWS Superdomes. I like domed pellets and not too light, 8.4gr maybe.

When I place an online order I would include some JSB Diabolo Exact (8.4 and 10.3).

One of those usually is accurate enough that my missed shots are my fault.

(My RWS/Diana is a 45 in .177)

well.......... picked up a couple cans of pellets yesterday and got to do a little shooting this evening.

I got Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums (a domed 10.5 gr) and Crosman Destroyer EX (a HP with a point in the middle). The Premiers sighted in easily and from a so-so rest were all going into about an inch at 40 yards. Only shot a few of the lighter (and MUCH faster) Destroyers. They were printing just about exactly 3" higher than the Premiers, both at 20 yards and 40. Did not shoot them for a formal group yet. But BOTH pellets look to hold much promise as "keepers" for my gun.

Now.........for killing critters........which would you pick so long as both were acceptably accurate ??

Heavier and slower ??

Lighter and faster??

The Destroyer EX looks like it may have decent expansion potential.

RWS MEISTERKUGELN COMPETITION PELLETS - .177

Too rich for my blood but my kid likes these in his Diana.
Got them at Bass Pro I think. Makes me feel part of the Reich just to handle them and say the name.

MY .22 likes the RWS line. Crosman Premiers do very well. For killing pests 40 yds. & under, I would stick with the RWS Superdome or H point. Although I have never tried JSB's or H&N's.

Yoder,

From my experience and from the posts of many other people I've seen, the Crossman Premier Hollow Points in 7.9 gr tend to shoot very well. Perhaps not the best in any one rifle but usually very well. It's my "go to pellet" for all new air rifles. Availability and price are nice also.

The Crosman Premier 10.5 gr. work really well in my RWS 34.

When I shot some sample packs of pellets in my RWS 54 (LOVED that rifle), I was really surprised at the variation in accuracy from one to another. You shouldn't have any problems finding an accurate pellet on the heavy side of the spectrum.

Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21.
Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!
