got me a .36 cal. Seneca the other day then found a .45 cal. barrel for it want to deer hunt with it anyone got any experience and help on good loads and bullets for deer in the .45 cal.

70 grains black powder and .45 Maxi-ball is what I used in mine.

Senecas used a 13/16" barrel & weren't available in .50 cal.
Hawken barrel possibly?
