RockyRaab,

I have no idea how far you are from Salt Lake City, but it is a mite closer than the UK to you I am sure.

I spoke with the Lady from this shop for just a minute, and she has Marmite in 250g jars, it is 13.99 though.

Maybe you could somehow get it from them if Walmart does not pan out.

They have a Facebook Page called London Market.

Thanks, Miss Lynn. I get to SLC all the time. I'll check them out.

That would ruin my appetite! wink

It ruined mine, too. When the plate was clean.

I would never think of posting pics of the humble beans and toast! lol

As much as I enjoy them, I rarely have a cooked breakfast these days except when I am away stalking..When eating out, I prefer to find a good "Greasy Spoon" as generally they don't stay in business long if their breakfasts are not up to scratch.

Rather than Marmite, most folks have either tomato sauce or brown sauce, (HP or Daddies) which is my choice. If I don't have brown sauce, I will have Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce.

Another favourite of mine is black pudding spread on toast with plenty of coarsely ground black pepper..

The P.H. I have hunted with in Zimbabwe got me hooked on Bovril and toast for breakfast. You can't buy Bovril in the states because of the whole mad cow thing, but you can buy Bovrite which tastes exactly the same IMO.

I understand that Bovril/Rite is a kind of beef paste similar to bullion, right? Did you drink it or use it as a spread on your toast? Either way, it sounds good to me.

While I do try to eat healthy about five miles down the mountain is the Pack River Store where proprietor Arlene uses locally harvested Woods sausage to make the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. In my three months here I have had it twice. Can't see taking BP meds and eating such a breakfast much but darn is it good.

Never microwaved a mater, good idea. I do something similar on the grill tho.
