Always thought that may be an excellent Campfire group event for the shotgun crew.

This guy did a 91% shoot but he took his 20 101 OU and just picked each shot! With my eyes and glass now I would be happy with 60% vb winpoor

Picked up the gun today, its full not mod, and nicer than I recall. From the look of the forarm, and the gun in general, its been shot very, very little. Bore is perfect and its just slick as can be. Not bad for 56 years old. :-)

I would have sucked that one up so fast you would have had a hard time lighting a fat striker match.

Nice grab. 👍

LOL. I hear that. I tried to walk away. In fact I got in the truck and started to drive back to the office so I called and made an offer that there was no way in hell they would take and I be damned if they did. :-)

Now that its home I pretty happy, its REALLY clean. Ordered a right hand safety and a proper Glazan red Winchester pad to get the LOP just right.

Yea, I thought it was mod, didn't have my specks with me so all bets were off. Should still hammer roosters and trap targets. Plus its been my experience that these full are more like mod. I'll find out Saturday

passport, it always seemed to me the opposite.. I always felt the old guns with full chokes were much tighter than screw in chokes.. One of the guys I shot trap with had an old model 12 restocked with a trap style stock.. That thing just destroyed birds at distances the modern shotgun would only break.. let us know what you find..

Nice snag passport, great condition. I picked a field gun up like that last fall, not quite as nice a condition as that more like 85-90 %. 960,xxx range 12 ga 26" plain barrel IC choke really like the way it handles got it for $380 and thought it was a buy. Magnum_Man

You did very well. Shorter barreled guns with little original choking bring premium. Rightfully so, because they can be used with: steel shot (soft iron), Tungsten steel and Hevishot. The shells will have to be of 70mm length. There is big price difference between 25 pack of Winchester steel from Walmart and 10 pack of HeviShot Classic doubles, Tungsten Matrix or Bismuth shot.

Shot 2 lines of trap with the old M-12 today, I still say that the full is not not as full as one would expect. Its tight but not like my 870TC. That said it will SMOKE a trap target!

This 12 ga was made in 1920.
I paid $160 a year ago from a gunshow table.
I could not talk him down at all.

When I live out in the sticks, I had a neighbor in 1984 that had collected all the model 12s.
He said the 28 ga had been hard to find.
He got divorced. She was screaming mad at him.
They moved away.
10 years later new owners were clearing forest for a horse arena and started finding rusty old guns and hung them on the wall in their barn.

The sixteen gauge Model 12 is ok upland gun, but early field grade 12ga Ithaca 37 is far better small bird shotgun. Same weight, excellent handling and less expensive to buy.
