One of my Son's BSA Troop member's Dad has offered to sell one of these to me and is offering it for $60. I've never heard of this product and wondered if anybody here has any hands-on experience. Being a hopeless "gadgeteer", the idea of the PowerPot appeals to me, but I don't want to buy something that will end up in a plastic tote box on a shelf in the storage unit.

Haven't heard any personal reviews, but REI appears to have them on sale at $99.93 from $149( http://www.rei.com/product/872900/power-practical-powerpot-v-recharging-cook-pot ). Reviews on REI all are positive. Sounds interesting, but I have a small solar pack to charge my phone if needed. Let us know how it works if you go for it.
