Howdy folks.
I have a week's worth of vacation time coming up, so I'm using that as an excuse for a perfect opportunity to go shopping around for a new scope for deer season. I've been checking out Meopta... what experience have ya'll had with 'em?

Hard to find anything bad about them.
Good optics for the price

about 12 years experience. Put that little known make on a little known rifle make- a CZ back then. I liked the thought of having all Czech and sort of different. Been all good and others I know have bought on my recommendation. Absolutely happy customers. They used to be bigger bargains as all makes have improved, and more introduced, while their prices have crept up. I think I bought my first 6x42 from them for like $200. Great adjustments and glass. My last purchase was a variable and I went VX-3 instead. Different than a Meopro but each with their equally strong points. Certainly worth a look but I think the best buy at the moment in a variable is the Weaver Super Slam I mentioned in another post. Available at Natchezss for $279 and just too hard to beat. Short answer tho- if you buy a Meopta you WILL love it.

If you're OK with a plex, camera land has their 3.5-10x44 on sale for $300 shipped.

best scopes ive used. i own 3 now. the eyepiece is a little large but not a dealbreaker for me. the glass is incredible. that 3.5-10x44 for 300 at CL is probably the best vaue there is on a scope anywhere at the moment.

I would say the Weaver Super Slams on sale a Natcheszz right now are right up there. 2-10 x44 is $279, 2-10x50 is $289.

I wouldn't, but of course the OP can't order from Natchez, so it's a moot point.

They are excellent scopes. I now have 4 Meopros. That CameraLand deal was too good for me to pass up. I paid $349 though. Looks like I should have waited if they're only $300 now.

Yep, I paid $350 for my 3-10x44, and I don't even care that the price dropped $50. I'm blown away by quality of this scope for the money(and I own some nice scopes).

Oh well, still a darn nice scope for the money.

Think they don't let Tn residents use their MO service for some stupid reason.

Natchez is the retail arm for Chattanooga Shooting Supplies....a distributor. Their distribution business is larger than their retail business. If they sold to those three states, they'd piss enough dealers off to impact their real business.

I have a Weaver Super Slam that I used on a .243 last year. I was extremely impressed by it. It's not sitting on a rifle right now and I don't see it sitting on one in the near future. Let me know if you are interested.
