We normally shoot up in my hometown here on Labour day and shoot ducks on the beaver ponds , and head south to my buddy's area the weekend after for our big farm spreads. Cat scopes are cool, but slings 'n' irons RULE!

troutfly Campfire Tracker T Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,493 SE Alberta	Ready to rock! Going to an interesting season in SE Alberta. We are dry...... Have been out scouting the last few days. Wetlands that were full a couple of months ago are very low to dry. The birds are getting pretty consolidated on the water that is around. Regardless, the shotguns are ready, the decoys are rigged, I use Texas rigs as most of my hunts are on small wetlands and creeks here. Can't wait to get going though.
