As the subject line says, a very fine No.1-S with a 1-4x20 VX-II in Warne Rings. Pad is a 3/4-inch Decelerator, the forearm has been floated and a trigger job done. Round count is less than 60.

It has been hunted, but the blueing is like factory new. The stock has a couple of minor safe dings, very small and neither is through the factory finish. $995 for the whole package shipped and insured to your FFL. Not interested in trades--raising money for a new build. Thanks for looking,

Do you feel like floating the forearm made any difference in accuracy?

Bump for one of the best rounds (long and slender) for a scoped #1.

[Linked Image]

No trouble with rapid reloading such an ideal round. And this bear was at the far end of a 3/4 mile stalk through knee-deep tundra. The x74R is approximately the same weight and balance as the nearly perfect 45-70 #1-S, so I grabbed that instead of the heavier, longer bolt rifle.

Internet is down again--supposed to be sometime tomorrow afternoon before it is restored. Will check in periodically between now and then.
