I have a set of the RMC optic fiber (2 rods in the back and 1 in the front) and I don't like how small the front bead is...too small of a diameter for my eyes. I want to change them out and am not sure what I want...thinking about
-williams fiber optic rear & front but that may not be any better
-williams or lyman peep, but not sure what to put upfront that will be a big enough diameter and want to ensure the rear aperture is big enough for me
-lymman hunting sights with a white front bead and basic dovetail in the rear

Thoughts? I am interested in any suggestions along these lines or others you may have (NEGC...again with a big enough front bead to easily see and center and for a TC renegade.

I am running Lyman 57SML's on 4 different Renegades, went with the Lyman globe sight up front.

If you dont like the inserts it comes with, Brownells sells, or at least used to sell, a stamped card with different inserts. The peep sight comes with 2 different apertures, .040 and .070 IIRC.

You can usually find different apertures on Ebay as well. If you go with the globe front sight, ensure the one you order is for the American 3/8th dovetail and not the metric one. 3 of the 4 globes required minor fitting. The barrels are not factory though, 3 Green Mountain and the other a custom.

Thanks for the suggestion. When you say a 'globe sight' up front, I assume you mean the Lyman 17A. Is that right?

Not sure of the number, but yeah, the Lyman globe front sight. They have several different front sights, dont get the metric one.

I think I'm going with a Williams peep as its drilled and tapped for the renegade already. I'm considering the Williams Fireside FO up front or the lyman white bead that it sounds like Hawk Driver is using.
