Been a lot of roof-topping lately.

Today during school lunch a couple strapping young men came walking thru the student filled tables. They looked kinda sheepish. Probably didn't twig to lunch time. And they can't possibly be as young as they looked. Or else old snuck up on me!

On one hand each carried a heavy short legged tripod. On the opposite shoulder each had a flattish heavy-looking olive-drab bag about 8x10x20.

A teacher asked "What are they carrying? Potatoes?". Somewhat understandable as they were heading for the kitchen, which abuts a food storage room with access to the roof.

My Eskimo buddy says "Sandbags". (I guess potatoes would work also...:) )

She says "What in the world are the sandbags for"?

" They're snipers", I say. (They have been around a couple of days already)

She looked startled (at least!) for a moment , then says " How cool is that? This is so exciting"!

I would hazard a guess that anyone on the business end of those two might not find it cool at all and any excitement would be short-lived.

Sorry - couldn't pass up the pun)
