I am thinking of selling my FN Mauser and wanted to see what everyone thought about the value. I am selling because I am left handed and would really like a bolt action rifle with the bolt on the proper side.
It is a FN mauser chambered in 7mm rem. mag. Functions and works as expected.
It has a douglas barrel, 9 or 9.5 twist rate, can't remember right now
It has a timney trigger.
It is bedded in a screw bean mesquite stock which cheek swell. It is a left hand stock. Decelator pad installed.
Was with gunsmith last year where it was "accurized". It was glass bedded, and the crown was cleaned up.
The gun is in good shape. No rust etc. Been well cared for and hunted with. Also have scope rings for it.
What do you guys think on value?

Yep, I will take some this evening and attempt to upload them. It is as described, with some normal wear (like a rub mark here or there, etc.. minor stuff).
Thanks

With it being a right handed gun, with a left handed stock you are probably in the neighborhood of $500, maybe a little more. I would imagine you have more than that in it, but there doesn't seem to be much call for a right handed gun, with a left handed stock. Usually we put more into the Mausers than we can get out of them, sorry to say.
Best wishes on sale. re
Beware the man with one gun, for he likely knows how to use it...

I surely would like to see a couple of good close pics of the action. Approximate diameter at muzzle?

I consider it a crime against art but Mausers just aren't selling high right now. fine weapon but just not sexy enough for the younger generation. I just bought a commercial Mauser in 300 win mag built in England for 275.00. yours being an FN, the action is worth that for someone. hope the best for you.

Those pictures won't help you sell it or get it traded. Not being critical...you just can't tell anything about it. powdr
