The first time in the twelve years I've lived in ID that I won't be having a Grouse camp.

My favorite spot over on the Selway's closed so I thought about going up on the St Jo where I went last year but it's closed too.

There's even a fire down by McCall where I go for Rock Chucks in the spring. No telling what that'll look like next year.

I did manage to get out to one of my local areas yesterday. Got two Ruffs before my old GSP gassed on me.That's better than nothing but I'm still going to miss the camp. That's half the fun.

Damned fires.

Man, that sucks Charlie.

Hopefully you can catch a lucky rain sooner rather than later.

Upland opened here yesterday.

I had to drive out to the hills to move cows the last 2 days and saw quite a few birds.

Huns, sharp-tails, sage hens, bunch of damn hawks and a million doves.

Too damn hot and I don't shoot birds off the road when I'm supposed to be driving to work....grin

Yea,,, right:)

Hope you get caught up and the weather cools down soon.
You need to break that new shotgun in on something tastier than clay pigeons.

Charlie, I'm thinking tomorrow.

Rain and the breeze in the forecast but we are caught up enough to go harass some birds.

Notice he didn't say anything about shooting birds off the road on his way home FROM work..........
