What's the minimum age for a nonresident to hunt caribou in Alaska? My grand-son is 11 and will be 12 next March.

10 years old to hunt with their own tags, tickets, permits. Less than that, they have to have a license, but it would be on an accompanying adult's tag.

Page 10 of the Alaska fish and game regulations tells you everything you need to know.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

The basic difference between res and non-res - as I read it anyway- is that the non-res kids have to buy a license. 10 years is the magic age at which they can hunt with their own tags, permits, tickets whether they are res or non. Worked for him two weeks after he turned that corner, and I didn't fire my rifle (9.3x74R #1-S) that day; the #1-A 270 was sufficient. (And he's not gay! !!!!!)

Actually, it says, "all non-residents, regardless of age, must have licenses." Residents are not required until the ago of 16, but either can get their own tickets, tags, and permits at the age of 10.

Okay, then …… This here's the 'drain' for the 3 mile deep and wide patch of alders that he was less than 50 yards from entering after he took a solid hit. I was 'on him' with 286 grains of Nosler Partyisms at ready when he did a wobbling death circle. We were on the other side of that willow line in the 'drainage trickle' when he popped out and beat cheeks for the thick stuff.
