Oh, and the hoodie was only worn for the picture. It was 90+ degrees out.

Time for a shout out to once again thank our very own Fluffy for another act of generousity. The man just finished masterfully repairing my cracked shotgun stock. He topped that off by showing up at my store with two big bags full of garden tomatoes. Man, I've been eating good for the last couple days! I just can't get enough of some good 'maters! Just polished off a big chunk of tomato on toast with some mayo, salt, and pepper. We did blt's last night, and will do so again today. 'Been popping those little grape tomatoes by the dozen.

Thanks again Fluffy. You da man!

I laid all them little grape tomaters out on dinner plates so the weight wouldn't crush them open. I've eaten three plates packed full of them so far, and have two more to go. As for the big ones, I've been eating BLT's for lunch or supper, and just maters on toast for breakfast. Gotta eat 'em while their in season. Sure are better than the hothouse stuff. As a sidenote, the neighbor brought over some more yesterday!

Went out about dark thirty a couple nights ago to turn the sprinklers off barefoot . We've been finding some fair sized snake skins around so I was watching where I stepped and looking pretty carefully. Well sure enough I almost stepped on what turned out to be a 3' water snake . Let me tell ya this 50 y/o 6' 3" 285# ol fart still has some moves.

I know I said 23 cuss words in 3 seconds too and it was all caught on our security cameras. Wife and grandson have about peed themselves watching it over and over . Maybe we can get it on here .

But I got the last laugh it stuck around till I got shoes on and the 28 gauge and perforated his head a bit . !

I just went out and picked 21 grape tomatoes off of the volunteer four plants which came up in our flower bed.
We planted two plants there last year and some of the late season drop off's came up again into four plants.
I have been getting 10 to 15 almost every other day.
A friend of mine brought me some New Jersey tomatoes last year and this year and they are about the best tasting tomatoes I ever tasted.
Mule1,wish I could have seen that quick two step you did.

Went to the range with Fluffy today. He took a very incriminating picture of me posing as a rifleman. Shot all the deer artillery, and shot the Hi Standard that he did the stock work on for me. Shoots and ejects the first shell just fine, but the action doesn't want to close up on the next round. Looked like the round was seated a little low on the bolt face too. I'm hoping it just needs a good lube, so I'm going to tear into it tomorrow and see if I can figure anything out. It was good to get out shooting, and boy, are the juices flowing now! Deer season can't get here fast enough.
