I've got the run of a friends land outside town. Has a nice 30-40 acre pond. Spring into mid-summer fish was biting. Now, very little.

Bass, bream, and white perch are the main targets. Get a chain pickrel(Jack fish) now and them. Hooked one good size gar but didn't boat him.

This pond is shaped like a glove. Fingers of land reach out half or more ways across the pond. Some wild life on the fingers. Few doves and squirrels. Seen a nice buck out on one of the fingers.
Couple of does on another.

Summer doldrums. Dang few fish I'm catching now but most mornings I'm out there from first light 'til 9:00 when it starts to get too hot. God's been good to me.
