Anyone ever have any of this happen. I used win, Rem. and 3 boxes of Herters and Herters was the only ammo to do this to me. Was quite aggravating to have darn near 50% of these shells do this to me while shooting dove. Should I send these to Herters? I should've saved all of them that did this but at first I wasn't thinking about making a fuss about it, but as time and frustrations grew, I decided to save a few for show and tell.

The Herters brand name is owned by Cabelas. Take them back there. Don't shoot any more of them. You might have a barrel obstruction destroy your shotgun if parts get lodged in the barrel.

IS there any where that will take back ammo., especially when the box has been opened?
Since I had to jerk the barrel off each time to remove the plastic, I took a look down it each time to verify it was clear.
I did leave a nasty review on the Cabelas web sight of the ammo.

Don't take it back to the store. They'll just trashcan it. Send it to corp. headquarters with a letter of what happened.

Herters are Euro-trash shells made as cheaply as possible for Cabelas to sell at a lower price point. Lots of better options in the larger gauges, but not that many with 3" .410's. The Rio and Fiocchi are better quality at not much more dollars.
