It worked good in my 300 Win Mag.I loaded it like IMR-4350.72.0grs gave me 3150fps.72.5grs gave me 3200fps.Now that's moving a 180gr bullet purty darn good.It grouped well with no pressure signs. It's a scary powder, hard to tell when to quit with the high velocities.

I use it with 168gr TTSX. Speed is not impressive 3050ft/sec but is a accurate load.

The last load is exceeding what factory 300 Weatherby, 180 grain ammo gave me while shooting a friend's MkV last week. I don't know the pressure they produced, but Weatherby factory stuff is usually full throttle.

Nosler and Alliant list 70.5 grains as maximum for around 3100 fps, give or take a little.

I've only ran R17 in the 300WM with 130TTSXs, but as with other carts, I usually end up a bit short of book max loads with the 4350s. In my case with the 130s, 77g yielded a 3560fps avg with 10f ES from a 24" pipe. The 4350s work well with 180s in the cart, so I'd not hesitate to use R17 as well. I've had great luck in many carts with the R17.
