Got back a rifle today which was rebored from 243 to be a 7mm08, but:
1) neck and throat weren't cut
2) barrel wasn't mounted/headspaced
3) 7mm08 isn't stamped on barrel

Got 2 questions. First, what should I probably expect to pay for this? And second, any chance anybody know somewhere that can do it and return it in 1 month?

Would REALLY love to have this for the November deer season.

Thanks. Got a couple of leads I'm going to try to find time to call on tomorrow, but I expect them to be fairly backed up. Thought I'd ask, figured it can't hurt..

Savage? Remington?
This was a take off in 243 Win?
Are there sights or roll stamps that need to be timed?

Savage 99, solid frame. Sights / forearm stud need to be lined up.

Nice project! Isn't there any machinists on the collectors forum who will help you out?

Got some machinists there, but only a couple gunsmiths and they are busy. Things came up and time was tight, so letting it go a few months isn't a problem. Got some references, I'll probably call them up in a few weeks. Maybe it can go out next fall.
