I fished the Lochsa coming back from Jellystone two weeks ago.....
They were smashing nearly anything I threw.

This was the biggest...
sorry there is nothing to scale him againist, but it was hard to get a cell shot and still get him released quick.

I fished, NF Clearwater , Kelly creek, lochsa, moose creek and few other smaller creeks in the area. Absolutely beautiful country and not much pressure

I didn't measure it, but I'd bet 17-18, anyway.
Did you do Black Canyon, Cayuse or Ruby?
I've had some great memories made in that area.....
Just don't seem to have the time (or in truth, make time) as much any more.

Yep fish all of the watersheds there.

Cayuse is a favorite so is meet but I hikein a few miles.

I was wondering as I was scrolling thru your first few pics if you ever caught whitefish. You answered my question nicely!

Thanks for the pics (you too 'slave) and the hints on where to go next year if they ever fully staff us again and I get some "extra" time off. Those rivers and creeks are not too far away. Non-res license, but... oh well.
