Made in 1991. "C" series action. Chambered in .243 Win. Excellent condition 95% in my book. I traded in to it a while back and it's been in the safe. I've never fired it but I'm sure it'll please the new owner...$795 shipped

Any interest in trading for a 22x6.8 AR ?

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

My daughter shot her first buck with one of these. She plans to have the rifle in one of her senior pictures. Truely BA rifles!

My dad has this same rifle in 243..............it's a tack driver with everything he's fired through it. We just made sure the barrel was fully floated, haven't done anything else to the rifle. At 100 yards It will shoot 100 grain factory winchester power points into 3/4" or less. 70 grain matchkings or 58 grain hornady V max are consistently 1/2" or less..........often all bullets touching at 100yards for 3 shot groups. Very, Very nice rifles.............back in Remington's golden years.
I'd like one of these in 25-06.............I'm looking.

I had a 25-06 in one of these, it was a shooter, very nice rifle. Some of the best Remington ever made and will ever make. All that is sold now is cheap synthetic junk.

Here is my late 60's version in 22-250. They do shoot nicely.

Free bump. I still have a 25-06 Varmint Special I bought new in the 80s I think. It has the pressed checkering. I shot a lot of stuff with it.
