Long story short because I'm headed to the range to sight this in.....but I had some parts for a gun build, sent it to my local Gunsmith to piece it together for me.....
McMillan stock, Surgeon bottom metal, Rock Creek 1:8 twist barrel cut to 22", Nightforce 3.5-15x56 RR1 reticle. Stock has not been bedded so we shall see how this shoots.....I'm excited to get this thing going.....

I loaded 15 rounds of each different load.
The 140 amax ran avg speed of 2688, group of 1"
The 139 Scenar ran avg of 2704 group of .582
The 129 SST ran avg of 2877 group of 1.319"

I just based my loads off of loads that I got off of the SH website. These are loads that guys have been running and shared on the reloading depot, I just wanted to go and shoot this new rifle.

It's a muzzle break that the Gunsmith makes and he wanted me to try out on thus rifle. It is ported on the muzzle end rather than the sides....

I think it shot pretty well for the first 45 rounds through the rifle. It's gonna need some load work done, but not a bad start for accuracy.

I see lots of good times at the range in your future!!

Looks like it's not too picky to start out with random loadings and get groups like that!

Congratulations!

Thanks guys, it's my first build from scratch. It has a nice weight balance, pretty good center balance.

Well did some more load testing yesterday....
Mostly to show a friend of mine who is née to reloading how a rifle reacts to load changes, even if they are only 1/10th of a grain.....
Last weekends resulted in the best group of 42.3 of H4350.....so we started at 42.4 and went up to 43.4.....the results speak for themselves.
He was amazed at the results...

43.4 was the winner.....there were no signs of pressure during this load work up.

.1 grain is really not necessary but looks like you've got a load...

Good shooting. H4350 works well with 140's. Another powder you should try is H4831SC. I use it with outstanding results with 140 hybrids, getting 2800 fps, single digit ES, with 24" barrel.

Not knocking, just my opinion: I agree, .1 grain load development has been useless for me. My nodes are usually around .5 to .7 wide. If your node was at .1 of a grain, temperature and humidity would be enough to throw it off.

Great shooting by the way.

Agree with the good shooting comment.

I'm curious if you did the same exact test at .1 grain increments if you would get the same results.

Have you ever done that?

Thanks

I used 4831sc with the 139gr Scenar in my 260 build. Looking back at my initial load work, out of the 5 loads I tested, the largest grouped into .662", the smallest .333" - Never bothered to try H4350.....

I just did that particular load up like that to show my buddy how just .1 of a grain can affect a loads accuracy. I had been trying to explain it to him but he really didn't believe me prior to Saturday when we shot. He believes me now.
I still haven't had a chance to chrono that load...

Guys feel free to share your "go to load" for your 260. It's a new rifle so I'm willing to try and get the most accurate load I can.
Thanks for the comments on my shooting, I've gotten alot better from what I used to do. Getting good habits....lol.

That Scenar is stupid accurate in my .264. Runs circles around the 140 AMax and 142 Sierra HPBT MK

Chronograph resulted in a reading of 2790 for that load of 43.4 of H4350.
