So I picked up a very nice knife from Vince. I'm wanting to have parson make a sheath to sit on right or left hip ( I'm right handed which is better) that has the double belt slots and kicks the handle slightly forward. Kinda like a outside the waist band holster. Want it to sit tight to my hip.

Any pics would help guys. Also what is this style called

Link to the knife I purchased.

Larry made me a sheath he calls his pancake sheath. I'll try to take a picture when I can. I'm sure you can find a picture on an internet search. I carry mine right side handle forward. I think it'll be exactly what you're looking for and his price is very reasonable. I think there's a picture here on the Rick Menefee thread of both Parson and a Lawson sheaths in this style.

Kevin, here are two of Larry's Pancake sheaths. The darker one is worn on the right side, the lighter one is a cross draw.
Workmanship is perfect, the sheaths ride just right, the knives are easy to draw and replace.
I have another knife coming today, a custom Scandi grind folder, that will get one of his pancakes as well.

I like the style of the dark one that was posted above and I like to wear it on my right hip with the knife tilted forward. Sometimes I'll push it back some and wear it in the small of my back. Those are good sheaths.

Kevinj,

My pancake sheath is a knife sheath very similar to the ones posted by mannlicher. Mine is very similar to the lighter colored one pictured but has basket weave tooling. I am right handed and carry mine right side, handle forward. I usually wear it behind my hip bone so it's not real fast for drawing the knife, but I don't do much knife fighting so speed isn't a real issue for me. I usually carry a Kifaru Pointman when hunting and the knife is very comfortable in that position under the pack's waist belt. Mr. Parsons is a stand-up guy who does beautiful work. I'm sure you'll be well pleased with what he makes for you.
