So I'm going to be ordering an FX-II 6x36 and was wondering if the wide duplex is as useless as most of the posts I've read all over say? Also the LR reticle from the pics I've seen looks to be the same but with dots. The duplex comes only in gloss which if for some reason I was to sell it later on wouldn't move to well. Whatever it'll be it's going on either a 9.3x62 or more so a .300 magnum. Shot distances and could run the complete gamut and be from thick to bare. Guess I'm looking for your experiences.

I would either order it from the custom shop or send it in and have them put a #4 with an M1 turret. I'm on the fence with either that or just stepping up to the FX3 for the heavy duplex.

Just checked the custom shop. I can get what I want but won't see the scope before season.
I've got an M8 2.5x20 with the hvy plex already.
Might have to go with Travis and send it in later if I don't like it.

Out of the stock options, I agree. LR is the way to go.

Who would take the duplex over the LR if it was offered in a 6x36 matte scope as a stock option?

I would as I prefer the standard duplex over the others.
