I'm looking to get a Z3 for my rifle, any thoughts on the 3-9x36 vs the 3-10x42? I don't care about the difference in magnification, more curious as to whether the 42 vs 36 objective is noticeably better?

If someone has one in like new condition, I'm a potential buyer.

Thanks

I have both and favor the 3-10x42. Larger exit pupil on the 3-10x42 lends itself to a brighter sight picture (to my eyes, anyways).

What reticle are you favoring - BRH (3-10), 4A or Plex - either model?

The 3-10x42 BRH is the scope and reticle I have landed on after using several others, including the 3-9x36.

I really like the TDS reticle but it's no longer offer by Swarovski. The BRH/BRX has taken it's place.

What you will notice is during low light, the 3-10x42 will allow you to go up one magnification higher than the 3-9x36 for the same brightness. During daylight, you will not likely see a huge difference.

Had Or Have Most Of Them All. To Me Their Is Not Better Scope Made For Whitetail Hunting Or Hunting In General Than A 4A 3-10-42.

I have a 4-12 50 with BRH that is everything I ever expected in a scope. The adjustments are very crisp and will handle low light situations til after shooting time. Mike

I haven't had any issues with the BRH.
