I have a left hand Tikka T3 SS in .300 win mag and a Remington 700 XCR in 7mm Remington mag. Don't need both as they fill the same role in my Elk/Deer/Bear gun. Looking to sell one but not sure of current prices. Both in great shape with low round counts. Either rifle would come with 30mm rings. Thoughts on which way to sell or keep. Love to keep both but don't shoot either enough to warrant both. Thanks! Michael

If you're a lefty and the XCR is not, that's the one I'd let go myself, assuming they both shoot well. Other than that, it would be a coin flip if I was going to let one go. There are plenty of loads for both to allow adjustment to your specific hunt.

I hear you on that! Had a friend that said you never sell a gun, just buy what you need next.Problem is a bought a bunch of gear this fall and told the wife I would let one go. Both rifles are left hand. Thought about keeping the tikka as it has a wider range of bullets/weights but I am limited in overall length by the box magazine. Not sure what would be the best bang for the buck.

If you really are indifferent then just post them both for sale at a price you would be happy with and let the first one that sells go.
However, I bet you like one a little more than the other and I would keep that one.

Fair enough - I know what a Tikka would go for, but does anybody have a ballpark price that a left hand model 700 xcr in 7mm in great condition would go for? Thanks, Michael

LH 7mm mag is a hard sell. So if you really do need to move one of them, the 300 will go sooner than the 7mm and less of a loss.
I would put the 7mm up at the highest price I could find one sold for, and let it ride. That way I'd get to keep it while having a show of effort of having tried to do what I promised. Politicians get away with it all the time.

Ditto with BMT, The 7 will take anything you might hunt.
