Great year for raspberries--blueberries hereabouts were spotty-got plenty but had to really look for them
Moose have disappeared--don't know why
Some local boys have taken some nice deer--which suprizes me after last winter
Lake tout was great--got a 40lber and good numbers--Walleye was great also--speck fishing was a little off from previous years
I'm headed to Montana for deer and elk next week

Fishing was a little slow most of the summer, but by August it was wonderful berry and fruit picking season for us. Saskatoons were especially good this year.

It's been the "year of the moose" for me. Got drawn in our local zone, killed a big old cow, helped a 16 yr old kid get his first, and an old hunting buddy to get his first too. Called two bulls in to archery range for the first time ever, passed them up but what a hoot! I just had a blast with moose. We're butchering my buddy's tonight! Moose are doing very well in the parkland region of Saskatchewan.

Got a bull elk earlier, so I hardly hunted waterfowl this year, freezer is already full but I put a few grain fed mallards away for some winter meals.

Got a few pheasant and a partridge and a sharptail hanging in the garage from a recent hunt down south, and heading back to our bush camp for whitetails at the end of the week. Life is good!
