I see on the calendar that's the up north version of what we call Veterans day. My thoughts. Mostly thanks to those who served my country and yours. And any of our other allies, like the big island in the southern hemisphere. Geno

Bit of a world war two buff, my thoughts of Canadians stand out as the battle of the North Atlantic, and Junu beach on D Day. The brave Canadians fought and died along side the Americans and Brits. Lest we forget, they fought for a better world, fighting the good fight.

Sad day for me
I immigrated to Canada in 1972, came home bruised from the war, and those ole vets at the Canadian Legion Hall--they knew what I was going thru and made me feel to home.
Rememberance Day used to be a bigger deal I think--maybe just the way I recall it.
Parade at the cenotaph, laying of wreath--them old Vets all gone now--me too soon enough I reckon
