How good has the hunting in Idaho been this year?
specifically for
doves? Don't hunt them.
pheasants? very good
valley quail? Don't know what a Valley Quail is but California Quail are about average....fair
and forest grouse? (blues and ruffs in particular) The fires shut down allot of the prime areas but the places I could get to were very good.
THANKS. The above is in regards to North Central ID....can't speak for the rest of the state.

From the few trips I've made to E WA, I'd say its an above average year. Lots of pheasant and quail at the places I've been around the Palouse. Not Idaho, but pretty close to the border.

StubbleDuck: I live not far from Idaho and Hunt even closer to you's. I do know this for sure, I have seen MORE Hungarian Partridge this summer and fall than I have ever seen before! I mean LOTS of them. No Quail in my high valleys. Pheasants are about average and forest Grouse are plentiful/same as in prior years. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
