Did some trading for this double knife set, I am thinking German made? Only markings are the one pictured. Always a sucker for double sets! Thanks.

There should be like a crown engraved above the Q. Cant tell cuz on my phone. Anyway, winterbottom bone scales circa 1958-1960 best I can tell......

There is a crown above the Q. Both stamped the same. Leather strap missing for smaller knife.Will have to find a replacement and rivet it on.

Should be 1095 carbon steel I think. Cool old Queen Steel knives, great find.

Should be 1095 carbon steel I think. Cool old Queen Steel knives, great find. IMO the knife should be 440C. Queen was first American cutlery to use SS AFAIK. Also, when stamp reads Queen Steel or Q Steel, it is generally always stainless. Exception would be newer models with D2 or special runs. They used to use 440C. Then later switched to 420. If it said Queen City Steel, that would be 1095......
