Got some stuff gathering dust which can be better put to use by someone else. Need some price checks.

2 Pre War bolts 1 std face, one magnum (I've seen them on eBay anywhere from $3-400 whole, most are parted out???).

A couple of Tilden safety levers (IIRC around $100 on Bay???)

Lothar Wather barrels, threaded, cut & chambered by Jim Dubell for .300 Win (in the white & unshot) and 7mm Rem (rust blued with exactly 72 shots through it).

A refinished Pre War 270 Win, which I bought as a set of 3 back in the 90s (never fired any of them, used the other 2 as donors). Or just the stock & barrel if I decide to keep the action.

And a Pre War magnum receiver, D&T.

(I have both types of shrouds on hand for those bolts)

Pre 64 338 Win- don't really need to sell it, but I ain't gonna ever shoot it again.

I paid $5k for the Pre 64 rifle below. Built by Johnston & Gervais (both ACGG guys). It's a 338 Win, magna ported, Tallys, and I put one box of shells through it 10 years ago when I sighted in the scope and never shot it since.

Thanks.

The prewar bolt bodies are probably bringing $150 tops on eBay. Are they unaltered? Do they have the extractor and/or collars?

The Tildens go for $35.00 at times and $100 other times; I guess depending how they are listed and searched, plus someone wanting one worse than someone else.

Receivers go for $300. That receiver should be matched up with that magnum bolt body. How is the receiver D&T'd? Is it original finish or reblued and what kind of external appearance?

The refinished 270 prewar is probably a $750 gun tops.

That 338 is a beauty. I have had some envy with some of the rifle you have posted this and the Kobe are sweet. Did this shoot like the Kobe 7MM?

Good Luck with your sale.

How many shots thru the LW ,300 win mag barrel? Does it have the dog dick knot? Most gunsmiths hate them as the steel is so good it screws their tooling up unless they cut and chamber just like LW tells them in detail! One of the very best barrels Ive ever shot was a Lothar Walther barrel!!!! very best Winpoor
EDIT: let me know about your cloverleaf pre war stock , 270 barrel and this LW 300 win mag barrel, maybe we can bundle all three... v b WP

PM responded.

No they are both std sporter LW contours and have already been threaded, chambered (someone else's tools took the hickey...) and are ready to be screwed in. The 300 Win was a barreled action which became a 340 Wby and never shot. I know the 7mm Rem had been shot exactly 72 times as I sold the remaining unfired brass.

The .270 is 121X which is a 1936, the magnum action 2250x - 1938.
