Took this black bear in Idaho this year. Rifle is a Barrett 98b in 308. Congrats! I would never be able to use your rifle, though. My face & neck are too long and I can't get down on the scope. A friend had a bolt action with a similar straight stock. I tried it but I couldn't possibly shoot it.
