What would be the average (or fair) price be to rechamber a 458 win mag to 458 Lott?

A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Is that what you are willing to pay or do you charge that?

Fotis,

When I see the name "Lott" I remember he cost me a lot of money. I still miss him.

I'll do it for $100.00 plus return shipping & Ins. but I will warn you upfront, I'm not a member of the Custom Gunmakers Guild.

Depends on the rifle. If it can be re-chambered without removing the barrel, like most bolt guns, then it's only about a 10-minute job, and $100 would be more than adequate.

If it's something like a Ruger #1 though, the barrel has to be pulled off, reamed, and re-installed, so that's a lot more work.

What is it?

I would ream to a Lott for $100 in my shop, but I agree some rifles like the #1 or the 1885 would be more.
