Thanks whistle...I just saw this post. Rommel and I have been keeping up with this story. If I don't check on on it occasionally he googles cute little puppies and gets some of the damnedest images you've ever seen

But thanks for bringing it up...it hasn't come to light exactly what happened to Deisel,but Im guessing he was in the bomb blast whilst trying to bite the gal wearing the bomb...dont know for sure.

There are a couple of different stories out about what happened re. Diesel.
The most credible, supposedly comes from the handler who said Diesel had cleared one room and then was sent to clear the next one. There was some commotion and then shots fired in that room that Diesel was working. Evidently that was the way Diesel died.

One story is the the dog was killed when the suicide bomber blew herself up but from what I can find out that is not true.

Whatever the real story is --Attention, HAND SALUTE to Diesel!!
