We had a successful hunt in Texas this past weekend. It started a bit slow for me, then on the third eve things picked up. I had a nice young 2.5yo 8pt come out into a small food plot shortly after sitting down on the side of the hill overlooking the plot. Maybe 45 min later a doe popped out of the brush and this guy popped out behind her. No telling how far he'd been trailing her, his mouth was open and he was drooling. The shot was 200ish broadside through both shoulders and he was DRT.
