I'm missing some DL's, but headed the right direction. Just watched the 358 DL at auction but it was cut with a pad, so let it go. The hard one to find is going to be the 250-3000 in a DL.

Yes. I'm not sure exactly what the question is. blush They did make them, I don't have one now. Here's the one I had and sold, you've all seen and hated on it. The thing you have to remember is that it and the 358 I did like this were cosmetically challenged or busted up.

Me neither/too Paul. I think you, me, and Billy have the hots for the DL's, the rest of the guys not so much. I've never seen one, nor heard of one, nor nothing about a 250 DL, but Murray's lists them. Maybe they didn't make it into production? Another rare one is the post mil E in 250, only seen one and in rough shape.

That 300F wood is great Roy! I might have a little wood envy on that one.

Gold trigger bling is no surprise when I open a thread labeled "Savage porn"...I hope I don't catch a virus from this.

That was Loggah Don's brothers rifle. It's a beaut. It may get a NOS Chicopee 1-10" 250 F barrel before it's all over... Wouldn't that be a sweety?! If I EVER find a gunsmith.

Funny/sad story. Wife and I took a defensive pistol course recently and the facility had a "gunsmith" up front. On breaks in the class we would wander around and I asked this gunsmith what he worked on. "I work on everything". I noticed a Winchester 250 lever action 22lr in the rack so I told him I'd been having trouble finding a gunsmith that knows anything about Savage 99's. Told him I had some rebarrel projects but couldn't get a guy that knew how to make them feed, rotor swaps, etc.
He launched into a tirade about how he felt they were an inferior effort at duplicating a Browning BAR and that they were prone to breakage and just an overall POS. As he expounded in great detail about the Savage 99 me and the guy next to me just looked at each other, eye's rolling back in our head. I said, "Yep, that's exactly what I'm talking about, guess you can't help me either". Guy next to me says, "No, SAVAGE 99, you know, lever action, internal rotory magazine..." Gunsmith- blank stare, stumbles for words. I turned around and walked away.

Punk had never even heard of one.

Find of a lifetime I think. smile

Here's another one for you 7mm cranks, 7 IHMSA, since nobodie's posting pitchers. smile It's a beast of a 99, probly weighs 11 pounds all up! Weaver 2.5-7 with the wide view and duplex. Not done with the stockwork.

For comparison- 270 Titus, 7mm IHMSA, 300 Savage

This rifle was built when I bought it, but I restocked it with some used wood I had here. Came with R wood. I can't find a 99 smith to save my skin.

I notice on one of Roys and one of your butt stocks both have 3 point checkering. Are these replacements? Tom

That is what I thought. I picked up a few of these awhile back but wish I had some matching forearms to go with them. Good looking rifles, all of them Tom.
