strong norhter this morning. We had been waiting. Lake flooded 8 foot higher than normal level.

7 folks shot limits. Back in the sticks. So thick I could not even THINK about getting there with the airboat... so road with some mud buddy type friends.

mallards, widgeon, gadwall and teal.

Dumb enough to try it agian in the morning I think. But it'll be in the 30s not in the 60s....a few more layers may be called for.

Sounds awesome. Wish we got widget's but I have only killed two in my life. Beautiful birds. I would ride in that boat no matter the temp if widget's were involved!

Edit to add teal too, mallards and gadwals are about all we kill besides woodies, but teal are special. We never get bluewings only greening toward the end of the season and very few of them. I would die a happy man if all I killed for the rest of my days on earth was teal, woodies and widgeons.

Get after'em man!

Fall Sept teal season down here is a blast sometimes.

Plenty of woodies here but we generally don't get many shots as they fly before shooting time.

Baldpates have alwasy been around but they are off and on. Sometimes quite a few, sometimes not so many.

Off to take teh dog to go find a deer a friend shot!
