Always nice to see them, even if you don't have a license in hand.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.

Not being married to any particular political party sure makes it a lot easier to look at the world more objectively... Having said that, MAGA.

Nice pics. Happens when hunting black bears as well.

Biggest Axis I've ever seen was standing right around a corner when I walked up on him with nothing but #5 shot in a 12 ga. He was at 35 yards.

I've been within 75 yards from a half-dozen or so gorgeous trophy bulls... with a cow tag in my pocket. I've been close enough to throw my rifle like a javelin and spear my choice of 3 different cow elk... with a bull tag in my pocket. Getting the stars to line up on the right species and sex can be an exercise in frustration at times. Still beats working.

I usually have similar luck, seeing 4 bull elk and buck mule deer like that I'm sure I would have a cow elk and whitetail tag in my pocket. That's hunting for ya ...
If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ...
