How did he ever determine it was a 22HP even?? Holy smokes, that's worse than that 100 year old loaded winchester someone found leaning against a tree.

Probably from the tiny hole in the end of the barrel. I'll restore it if Stever agrees to engrave it when done. Or, one could do a "rat rod" out of it, like some hot rodders do with barn-find 30's Fords. The blurb doesn't say if it was found clutched in the hands of a skeleton embracing a bear skeleton.

I have a civil war musket barrel we dug up in better shape than that one, Joe.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

If he throws in some equally "aged" see through mounts and a Tasco 4x, I'll take it.

Run a patch or two up and down the barrel and it should be good to go.

I have a 1876 Winchester that's a duplicate of that one.
mine has a back story with it.

Speaking of restoration projects on 22HP's.. ran across this. Can't say I approve of his Duracoat color scheme (looks a bit too Fireball'ish grin), but he did bring it back.
