All 16 gauge! All very solid and function fine. They were pawn shop rescue guns that I have been a foster parent for and it's time they get a forever home. They have been regularly used to shoot clay targets (mostly 5-Stand) and did a good job of that. They would work great on doves or birds over dogs. #1: SPF to shooter25! Browning Sweet 16, 1953 vintage, solid rib. Was full choke but was opened up to .010 (IC). Runs light loads no problem. Wood and metal show signs of wear. Has original buttplate. Wood has no cracks but does have scuffs and dings. The metal is about 50%, This is a good shooter/hunter that won't mind a rainy day or going through the thick stuff. $425 shipped CUSA. #2 Remington Model 11 16 gauge Sportsman,1937 vintage, 28" plain barrel, was full choke, opened up to .009 (IC). Wood is good with original buttplate and some wear. Some of the metal is turning a brownish-plum color. Runs light loads no problem. Patterned the gun and found it's POI was a little low for my mount so a thin, removable comb pad was installed to center the pattern. Runs light loads no problem. $325 shipped CUSA #3 SPF TO LUV2SAFARI! 16 gauge Remington Model 11-48, 1955 vintage, 28" plain barrel with choke opened up to .020 (IM). Metal very good, stock professionally refinished with original buttplate intact. $300 shipped CUSA #4 SPF TO Txgunrunner! Remington 16 gauge Model 870 'Deluxe' 28" plain barrel with modified choke, metal is very good. Buttstock has a couple scratches. Late 50's gun with the early silver shell lifter. A removable thin comb pad was placed to get the POI up a smidgen . This is a very smooth 870. $300 shipped CUSA.

I have a whole case of 16 gauge ammo I'll never shoot if someone lives close enough they could pick it up? Winchester ammo if memory serves.

All PM's answered
For the clay target shooting I do have been buying flats of Remington 16 gauge 'Game Loads'; 1 oz. @ 1200 fps. They work fine as it's no different than the guys running 12 gauges and 1 oz loads for clay shooting. The target breaks the same when hit by a couple pellets regardless of what gauge they came out of.

My thoughts too. I would have bought the lot if I would have seen this.

Okay, only the Model 11 Sportsman remains. Lets not let it be a lonely orphan on the Holidays. It has seen a few hard times and resulting 'character' scars but it will make a pile of empties like the day it was made. Alot of carefully machined steel for $325 (and that gets it to your FFL in time for the holidays!)

Sweet 16 is back up for sale. If you are interested I will send you photos of it's condition. It's got some finish issues caused by rust particularly on the barrel/muzzle area. Also a few other scattered places. Wood is solid; no cracks, but there are some scuffs. The buttplate is original and intact. It functions well.
