My father passed away this morning around 4:45am after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He passed away in his sleep after fighting an infection for the last two weeks. I feel much better knowing he is in heaven and no longer suffering.

I lost mine almost 3 years ago. I do miss him and at times think of something I wish I could ask him but no longer can. But he was 1 week from 90, we had a good life together, and after seeing his struggles the last year or 2 of his life I know he is in a better place.

Thank you for the prayers. I can say after watching my dad fight Parkinson's disease and all the problems it has caused for the last eight years there is worse things than death.

Thoughts and prayers for your father, I know what your going through as I lost my mother on the 17th of this month also. She like your dad was suffering after two bouts of cancer. They will be missed but as you know they are not suffering anymore and are looking down upon us from the heavens above.

Spent the week with my Dad down in Charleston and realized how lucky we were to still have him and my Mother at 79 years young. Especially, when he fell ill during the trip.

I have had the privilege of meeting and calling some of you a friend but I appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers.
My dad was 78 yrs old and would have been 79 next month.

I lost my Dad a couple of years ago under similar circumstances.

My father passed away this morning around 4:45am after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He passed away in his sleep after fighting an infection for the last two weeks. I feel much better knowing he is in heaven and no longer suffering. Just saw this.. I'm sorry for your loss.. He's not suffering any longer..
