Hi All...After a V E R Y LOOOOOONG wait, I finally received my my new Cooper 57M Jackson Hunter 22LR....I must say the fit & finish is impeccable..black stock with red webbing checkered bolt knob stainless fluted bbl....
I mounted a somewhat ancient Schmidt & Bender 3x12x50 illuminated L7 reticle...maybe a bit of overkill but this scope was just sitting around after I received it back from Schmidt & Benders USA service facility in West VA.....they completely
dismantled it...replaced some springs they said..??? resealed it and pronounced it a brand new scope....all for only $150.00...!!!!!
Anyway..its mounted in a set of SLEEK and CLASSY S&K mounts and high rings....
a sleek set-up...you have to look hard to see any screws..!!!

AND..of course it only likes MIDAS +...!!!!...5 shots at 50yds..does this with boring regularity... although CCI SV did nearly as well...!!! OH..and The Schmidt & Bender performs flawlessly....
I can't get the target image straight...!!!!!!! but u get the idea....
I think I'll keep it...

Pete, that's awesome. You must have been holding your face just right to even git a sniff of a 57M at a good price or your timing was impeccable. Did you get it from Whitaker's?

Hey local dirt....nope not from whitakers...my local dealer here in Kyle, Tx is a cooper dealer....I ordered it LAST December 2014..!!!!! It arrived in October 2015..!!! Cooper is in perpetual back order....

Sounds about right. I checked Whitaker's right after I replied. Nope. Nada. Empty page for Coopers.
