^^^This.
I have the Kifaru Spikecamp and a Gunbearer. I love the thing for carrying my rifle. I doubt I'll ever go back to using a shoulder sling. It sure is nice to have both hands free. If you add it to your existing pack, make sure to buy the universal one.

Eberlestock makes several packs with integrated scabbards but my favorite as a daypack is the X2 with an add on scabbard. It is small enough to not get in the way but will haul all that you mention and an elk quarter if needed. For about $200 it is a lot of pack for not too much money.

The Kifaru gun bearer is that underarm contraption with the muzzel pointing forward is it not?
If so.....looked it over and I'm not interested in that one

Don't count out the Gunbearer until you've run one... Of course I've never climbed hard or glassed through binos so that's all a guess.

Tanner Is that system easy enough to use while wearing gloves? while you're not climbing hard or glassing that is. Geno

looked it over and I'm not interested in that one Ted, I really didn't care for the gunbearer either. Until I fiddled around with it. You can adjust it to run the gun kinda cross-chest under the sternum strap. Just as fast to deploy as the way Patrick designed it, and a whole lot better, to me......

I've used a homemade version of the Gunbearer but didn't like it much. It worked ok but I don't like the barrel pointing at whoever is ahead of me. I had much better luck with Slingsavers.

If the muzzle is pointing at people in front of you, then it's not adjusted correctly. At least with a gunbearer.

If it can be adjusted then I might try it even though it appears to have your binocular all jacked up
No way in hell do I want it under my arm rubbing all day

I too like the gunbearer. I use the rifle barrel to steady the binos when I'm glassing freehand. Only gripe with the GB is that you have to unbuckle the top part to sit down.

Thanks Tanner,
You too "hunts".
Pics were a big help.
Guess I have another option for the Christmas present my wife is gonna buy me! This or perhaps that wool "pendleton" shirt I asked for.
