The reduced prices on the Trinovid's peaked my interest at $999 or so.
I also saw a pair of Ultravid BR demo's for sale for $1,000.
Can't seem to find out a lot of info on the BR's and what's it stand for.

Any input would be appreciated.

Steve

I believe the designations have something to do with the covering/armor. I know BL stands for leather. BR....? Rubber perhaps ?

If you are still interest in those Trinovid's they are now 899.99 at Cameraland while they last. They have two less as of this afternoon, I just could not pass up a deal like that.

I saw that, thank you. I'm between them, a Swaro SLC and Geovid 8+12 x42 both on the fire. I'm calling those guys when I get back from Dubai on Thursday.

The Ultravid BR's were the rubber coated bino just before they introduced the HD's. I paid $1,500.00 for my 8x42BRs right after the HD's were introduced. These were the last models that came with the Leica "Passport" lifetime no-fault warranty. They are still my favorite. Other than the HD they look identical to the BR, obviously the HD's have the improved coatings over the BR, but I really can't see any difference.
